TTU hires Sytia Messer!!!

Postby TechFan » Mon Aug 17, 2009 5:01 pm

TTU has hired former Georgia Tech Associate Head Coach Sytia Messer as the 4th head coach in TTU Women's basketball history. In my opinion, this is a GREAT hire for TTU. Coach Messer is a "Rising Star" in women's basketball according to several sources, and I think she is just what this program needed. She will bring a wealth of experience in recruiting, along with a very competitive drive to succeed to TTU Women's Basketball. Athletic Director Mark Wilson said, "not only do I want to restore the pride, I want a coach that can take us to the next level. We're not satisfied with just winning Ohio Valley Conference Championships. We want to compete regionally and nationally". I want every TTU basketball fan to hold his feet to the fire, and insist that the Women's Basketball Program is given whatever is necessary to achieve this goal!

TTU Women's Basketball is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now if they would only do that for their men's basketball program . . . . :D

racerfire, Mark Wilson will have to do something with the men's program very soon, or he will be run out of town himself. There is already lots of excitement around town for Coach Messer and the women's program. It's amazing how there is way more interest already in the women's team, and everybody just seems to be waiting for the axe to fall on Coach Sutton.
